Material to Submit
All Continuing Education courses must be approved by the Optometry Board at a quarterly Board Meeting. Please download the CE Submission Form, complete the form (including summaries of the courses and resumes of those teaching), and mail, fax (512-305-8501) or e-mail the form and supporting information to the Board. If the course is COPE approved, please include the course number.
Deadline
This information should be received by the Board two weeks prior to a Board meeting to be considered at that meeting.
January Meeting Deadline: January 21, 2021
May Meeting Deadline: April 23, 2021
July Meeting Deadline: July 16, 2021
November Meeting Deadline: October 29, 2021

General vs. Diagnostic Hours
Board Rules require licensees to obtain 16 clock hours of continuing education credit, with a minimum of twelve (12) hours in diagnostic/therapeutic education.
When submitting courses for approval, sponsors should designate the category for which the hours are being submitted: “general” or “diagnostic/therapeutic.” Once the courses are approved, the courses are posted on this website.
